I think what made AHA so exceptional for me was the firm belief that you can only gain a true understanding of art and architecture if you actually see it in the flesh. There was no classroom too sit in, textbook to read or exam at the end. It was simply a guided tour of the art in which you could learn and discuss in a relaxed atmosphere. The tutors were all fantastic; they became as much as your friend as the others in your group did because we all socialised together, whether that was eating out or partying hard until the early hours!
I would do the course again any day. I will never forget those six weeks and feel very envious to all those who are about to go!
Below are some photo's which I think really sum up the course..
A true stonking picnic! this occurs most days when the sun is shining. Oh how i miss the food...
Out on the town! Bengie being ridiculous with Georgie and Freja...I think this shows the relationship between tutor and student very well!

The Lamentation of Christ - I think the whole group would agree with me in saying that this was possibly the most moving piece they’d seen. I remember feeling totally overwhelmed with awe at how the artist could capture grief with such skilfulness.
Matt and Tc take full advantage of free hugs in Florence outside the duomo...happy times!
Wow...what a sight! Never before did I think I would ever see the Sistine chapel, let alone have the entire Vatican museums to ourselves! This is exactly what makes the tour so unique and exciting.
